• Member of the University Council - the supreme administrative committee and the executive body of the University's governance system at DU

• Member of the Institutional Accreditation Steering Committee at DU

• Co-chair of the Institutional Accreditation Sub-committee for Student Support Services at DU

• Chairperson of the University Ad-hoc Committee for IT Review at DU

   

Since September 2010, I have been leading the Computer Engineering program at the AUK towards its ABET accreditation. To aid the preparations for ABET accreditation, I have completed my certification in Excellence in Assessment Leadership from ABET in August 2011, Baltimore, USA.

As an academician and an engineer, I have been involved in a variety of professional services. My activities have included consultancies, services to international conferences and journals,  workshops, invited talks, services to professional societies, etc.

I have been invited to give several technical talks and seminars. The topics were mainly in computer engineering with focus on hardware/software co-design.

A bit away from my home area, I have carefully developed and conducted three workshops on Giving an Effective Talk, Modern Strategic Planning for Small/Medium-sized Departments, and Building Self-Confidence. The workshops have provided me with a great opportunity of communication with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
